Unfortunately, The same story what Rahul narrated here is coming true for me in the case of “AIRTEL”….

All the frustrations and anger felt by RAHUL are part of my life currently.. I will be the first guy to apply for BSNL as well as AIRTEL broadband connections one after other and not getting any of them even after a month…

Try getting AIRTEL broadband to some less known locality in bangalore and you will experience the TRUE colors of AIRTEL…

Very true, I have applied for a connection reloacation from Pune to bangalore, it has been over 15 days (this is supposed to be done within 72 hours as per TATA) and there has been no response from the Bangalore office to tell me whether the connection is feasible or not. Whenever I call customer care they say it will be done within 24 hrs. – I am now planning to get a new connection – any advice….

Hi Guys,

I too have horrific days of experience with Tata Indicom for a period from Jan’09 to April’09. On rarest lucky days, I will get the connection by 12 oclock night (which will last for max 2 hours with frequent disruptions) and week ends you simply forget; it had become a daily part of life for me to exchange dialogues with Customer care service who knew no good job than asking you some routine questions – your name, happy birthday date, mom’s name … and then ‘Our back end team will look into the matter asap for you’. Extreme height situation, one Infrastructure guy came to my residance once, checked everything and lastly adviced me to put their black-box switched on for the whole day, his out of the world logic was something like, the device will absorb an IP address for me throughout the day and wont let it leave my house. ‘Modem’ or ‘Feng Shui’ yaar!!

I had closed connection with a mail full of my anguishes and proper adjectives and got a reply after 3 months to test their improved connection on trial basis for a 2 weeks;

It may have become 1% better than before, provided I have no choice as Airtel does not have coverage for my area and Sify chages are comparatively high here.

Please can anyone help me on how to and whether to apply for BSNL broadband/Wi-fi connection. I heard their service line is not so strong. Please share your sappy or happy experiences.

Hi guys,
Have been a faithful customer of Airtel for over 2 years – faced no issues and infact very happy with the network. Now comes the problem, i shifted my house and the airtel guys say that they can’t give me a connection in that area.

I was thinking on lines of tata indicom .. can someone who is using some other network and quite happy please let me know . my number is 9620418758

I am facing the same prob, but unfortunately paid the 4 months advance and sure not to get it if i close, so waiting for completion. My one advice never take tata braodband connection

I had a similar experience with Tata Indicom way back in 2006. They do not care for the customer.
Their call centre is not truthful at all and they do not stick to their words. They charged me even when I discontinued their service and it took me many calls to set things right. Shame on TATA Indicom. I will never ever use TATA indicom again and would not recommend it to anyone.

Trust me when i say that i have been where you are coming from. So i know how and what you feel regarding the same as i have been through a lot myself.

However , I would like to say that things changed when i rung the right bells and you will be surprised at how well things went from there.
